the author of an article on homeopathy makes this statement.

humans are made up of something like 60% water — are we really just a shimmering liquid hologram? even an atom of hydrogen out of H₂O is mostly empty space (and the probability of the existence of a tiny electron somewhere in a cloud). our planet makes a nice holographic display. i think that sol and sgr a* are culpable in making this happen. thanks guys, it’s pretty!

radiation and processes

there was an article on rf signals i read at the pittsburgh post gazette that described bombarding salt water with radio wave emissions. these emissions apparently reduced the molecular bond energy and allowed a sustained environment for burning hydrogen from the solution to produce water, heat, and energy.

is there a chain reaction from the hawking radiation emitted from each galaxy’s central black hole to the burning of the stars contained within? in that case i wonder what bonds the black hole reduces to allow stars to burn… and further do black holes themselves have an emission that gives them life?

dna and fractal fibonacci

ah fourier transforms, linear algebraic manipulation on dna pairs, singing a song of organs, molecules, atoms, space and the random occurrence of a particle in the quantum field zero point fluctuations. oh, the harmony of the wavelengths played on the strings of chromosomes, built on fibonacci and spinning 3-d sudoku contrails. and does that suspicious orthogonality exist? thought no longer.

out of thailand and into the ocean of shame

i came back from thailand last week. it was a great time, two full weeks where i baptized my person in her theravadin buddhist culture, with traditions longtime largely untainted, as would have the only southeast asian country never colonized by the occidentals (do we have american carpets?). two weeks was enough to grasp the contrast between thailand’s bliss and the cognitive dissonance in the operation of my homeland culture. case in point: i returned from “the land of smiling people”, moving through japan (land of gas-masked tolerant faces), further in through lax western tarmac, and 24+ hour trip exhausted, into scowling jfk. on one hand, the faces, cemented in their expressions of malice; they left me reassured that no too far dreary obstacles had arisen since i’d been gone.

what happened? is this the way it’s always been, and i’ve been content to let it be? thailand melted away a bit of my own homophobia with her gentle culture, like that warm and loving goddess to her only child. total acceptance of whatever sexual expression feels good and loving between two consensual beings, and these beings as the glimmering rainbow-like forms that are expressions of compassion. she told me it was never a sin to love.

and here i am in america, lovingly breathing our asthmatic atmosphere of shame. it seems we can’t see to do anything other than retaliate in defense from the onslaught here. full of bullies aggressively shoving chunks of their karma around as if it’d glom onto their opponent instead of how it trounces us, like a boomerang striking a bell, the bell in pealing tears, and a ricochet to its new unsuspecting target. someone will have to devise that allergy prescription that’ll return to us those sweet scents of freedom, novartis maybe? ;) then maybe we’ll have an easier time finding time to take a breath, and the opportunity to put our hand to our chin it gives us.

incidentally, i randomly bumped into a tibetan man at terrace bagels this morning. cute! ;)

independence day

Is Stephen Colbert the Greatest Living American?

We begin with another who is looking to see if, indeed, Stephen Colbert is the Greatest Living American!

Jonah Stein at the Alchemy of Search blog is wondering if Stephen Colbert is the Greatest Living American. Stein says this is not -ahem- a googlebombing campaign — and, according to Google, pranks like this aren’t supposed to work anymore.

So, can a group of bloggers with a lot of authority get The Colbert Nation a higher ranking for Giant Brass Balls, a term that Colbert would like to rank #1 on Google, or Truthiness, a term that Colbert coined?

This will be interesting test case to follow. Stein thinks that Stephen Colbert is the Greatest Living American. And many of his viewers would agree.

A new survey of 1,502 adults released on Sunday, April 15, by the Pew Research Center for the People & the Press found that those who scored the highest in “knowledgeability” (correct answers) were regular watchers of Comedy Central’s The Daily Show and Colbert Report. They tied with regular readers of major newspapers in the top spot — with 54% of them getting 2 out of 3 questions correct. Watchers of the Lehrer News Hour on PBS followed just behind. Close to the bottom of the heap were regular watchers of Fox News. Only 1 in 3 could answer 2 out of 3 questions correctly.

So, the users with the highest “knowledgeability” should be able to judge for themselves if Stephen Colbert is the Greatest Living American, shouldn’t they? Who knows, maybe — just maybe — googlebombing can still work if it is used to reward truthiness instead of to punish miserable failure.

is dark matter’s dark matter karma?

it occurred to me yesterday that it’s conceivable that dark matter has its own “meta dark matter”; matter that is not readily apparent in the dark matter realm, but that affects it “meta-gravitationally”, and thus indirectly affects our baryonic realm.

is dark matter related to karmic seeds and the ālayavijñāna? yay, complexity!
